Our Kindergarten class doing their land acknowledgement

  • Kimberly and I first learned about Prairie Sky School through a friend, and after touring the school, we were deeply impressed by its unique curriculum and the profound impact it could have on our children.

Since enrolling in Fall 2024, we’ve seen a remarkable shift in our home—our family conversations now center around literacy, numeracy, and the deep connections our children are building through land-based learning. Prairie Sky is more than just a school; it’s an investment in their future, and we look forward to the years of growth, discovery, and cultural connection it will provide for our children.

Bursary recipients at Prairie Sky School are selected by the TAPS Committee, that is part of our affiliated charity, Friends of Prairie Sky School. This is an independent third-party group with no direct affiliation to PSS staff, students, or families. The committee considers the financial needs of a family and any socioeconomic barriers that may prevent them from enrolling at PSS. Families complete a TAPS application form, which is then de-personalized by our Executive Director and submitted to the TAPS Committee for an unbiased review.
